Once I began reading, I knew I wasn't stopping until I finished. I loved the dynamics of this trio relationship. Each were strong and honest. Eli and Cain are so sexy to read. This is the sequel to Andrea Smith’s These Men which came out in the Bend Anthology. It's about Paige Matthews, Taz's *sigh* younger sister and all around wild child. It's a year later and Paige is now part of a triad relationship three people, two males and one female, with sexy golden boy, Eli chambers and the sinful dark angel, Cain Maddox.
I'd really enjoyed These Men and thrilled to see that Andrea was giving us another peek at these three were getting on. They were still scorching hot, loving and oh so sexy but what I loved the most about this was to see how all three of them had grown, especially Paige, into a loving, healthy, mature relationship.
I delighted in Andrea giving us a front row seat as to how they navigate insecurities, all relationships have them, and how they deal when life throws them a curve ball. This unexpected surprise comes in the form of Eli's past that forces them to deal with parenthood, owning who they are, and growing together.
This was sexy, sweet, sad, funny and oh so hot! Just love how Eli, Cain and Paige embody the beauty of love in its many forms. If you loved These Men, like MM or want to try something different, this is a short delicious treat and well worth the read!
In My Men, Ms. Smith brings us forward almost two years into the life of this wonderful ménage. What I truly appreciate and love about this series is that the Author ends each on a solid note, not a cliffhanger. So, you can end your journey at the end of that book, or if you have totally fallen in love with the characters, you can visit with them again at your leisure. That being said, you do not need to read the first story These Men to enjoy catching up with Page, Eli and Cain, however, you miss a lot of the delicious back story on how these three came together and how Paige matures through her insecurities to become a heroine we can all be proud of. The Author's style of writing and use of humor and snark right up front engross the reader immediately, and keep you turning the pages. I found myself devouring this book on a lazy Saturday morning and thoroughly enjoying catching up with not only our threesome, but all the secondary characters from Ms. Smith's previous series G-Men. Funny, sexy and generally light subject matter with a bit of drama thrown in from a new character from Eli's past make for a wonderful escape any time of the day or year! You will fall in love with these three and be hoping and looking forward to more in the future. Be warned this is a ménage and as such it is very graphic between the men and the woman. Translation boy parts touch, so if not your thing you might want to pass, but the love that exudes off the page between these three may just have you reconsidering your views on love and sexuality. Very nicely done!
My Men is the sequel to These Men, originally released as part of the Bend Anthology and later released as a novella. It features Eli, Cain & Paige; along with characters of the G-Men Series. It’s also F*-HOT and is all about an m/m/f relationship.
There is only one thing hotter than two men h*mping.... that’s adding a vag into the mix.
With Paige, Cain and Eli having a bit of time under their belts (and in between the sheets) to deal with the issues that arise out of their unconventional coupling they are looking towards the future. A future that includes adding on to their already amazing family. But when Eli’s past knocks on their door, everything that they’ve embraced about their lives is shoved into the closet (for the moment) and they are tested to the limits.
There is no question that I am a huge fan of a hot m/m read and I love the idea of a woman working her way into the love relationship with two men. But I think what loved the most about Eli, Paige & Cain was that they each gave one another something they had been missing. For Paige this was in the form of belonging. Finally feeling like she was where she was supposed to be, where she was wanted and where she could be truly seen. For Eli and Cain, both being bisexual – I loved that they still had their main attraction and love for one another. This wasn’t simply two men getting the best of both worlds, this was three people in love with each other.
I was so excited when I saw that this story was being expanded upon. I know I was one of the readers who wanted more from this trio instantly after finishing These Men.
Bravo, Andrea for showcasing the beautiful (not just scorching) aspects of what some might see as an unconventional relationship.
I enjoyed most everything about this book, especially Britt, the new addition to the family. Paige has a great relationship with her men. I love how Andrea puts real emotions in the book. The only thing I had a proble with was her telling explicit details of their sex lives. But that is on me.
