Starting with the basic chicken and beef stocks, the author covers a wide variety of soups and stews. Everything from the soothing tomato soup to soups that I've never heard of (but can't wait to try) such as Mulligatawny Soup.

Mr. Anderson also gives you added information to help you if you are concerned about your diet. The nutrition facts, based on the recipe, are provided at the end of each recipe, giving you serving size and details such as calories, calories from fat, total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, total carbs and protein. Not only are you having a wholesome meal, but if you are trying to watch your diet, so to speak, you have the information you need to do so.

I have accumulated a ton of recipes lately and am excited to add these to my collection. With it being in the cooler months, soups, stews and warm dishes are in great demand at present. Again, I highly recommend adding this cookbook to your e-cook book (digital) collection. I've even printed off some to add to my paper "collection"!

I love soups, especially during the winter months. This book really delivers on fast, easy and scrumptious soups. My daughter is sometimes a picky eater and doesn't like potato soup. We made the recipe Dad's potato soup and she loved it and couldn't get enough. Thanks Mr. Anderson for creating this cookbook with such delicious soup recipes.
What a cool book about soup. I love all the recipes - this collection of homemade soups are thoughtfully arranged further into Quickie Soups, Everyday Soups, and Longer Soups that require lots more time. Overall, great recipes. I only wish there were more pictures to show the completed soups for each recipe.
Soups make planning meals ahead simple, are low in calories and are nutritious. This is a good soup book! Not only does it give directions for making stock but it gives a variety of different soups from other countries! I had to look up words like 'orzo' because I was not familiar with the term, and whoever heard of Mulligatawny Soup? The recipes are simple, sound delicious and I'm anxious to try them!
Honestly, before reading this book, the only soup I knew how to make came out of a can, but now I can make a variety of delicious soups which are really hitting the spot in this cold weather! My favorite section was the six "spur of the moment" soups that allow you to make a fast and healthy snack or side. I was able to knock out a Maryland Crab Soup in under a half hour! Just great recipes that are easy to make and delicious to eat! Highly Recommended.
WOW! I love soup. Where else can you find food that tastes so good, is really nutritious, and is easy to make? Also, you can usually freeze soup, so you can make mega batches and have it for a long time.

These recipes seem delicious, and you can tell from the ingredients that they are very good for you to eat. The author has also given extensive information about calories per serving, carbs, fat, protein, etc. Personally, I can't wait to try these!

I'm not some soup lover, but I won't say "no" to delicious soup... I've spotted some interesting recipes in this book and looking forward to prepare them soon... Basically, all recipes looks easy to prepare, so you don't need to worry about that, even if you are newbie in kitchen... I also love that nutrition approach, and can say that all the foods suggested in recipes are wisely chosen and soups looks delicious...

I like the fact he starts with the stocks and works forward. If you are in a pinch Anderson has soup recipes that deliver fast. More time on your hands and you can create a tasty soup that might take a little more time and be more involved. The choice is yours and that's what makes this book the one to get. Also, I like the fact he's got serving sizes and nutritional information for each recipe. This is always good to know when you're opting for healthy, hearty eating. My advice is to grab this recipe book and get "soupin!"
